HOW WE DO IT

Our Strategy

Ancala Midstream focus on midstream oil and gas infrastructure assets in the UK and Norwegian North Sea. Our strategy creates and delivers value for customers and investors by providing reliable, efficient and low-cost offtake for upstream oil and gas resources and promoting the maximum economic recovery of reserves.

sage operations

Under the control and guidance of SNSL, Wood act as Duty Holder for the terminal.  SNSL are operator of the SAGE system for and on behalf of the co-owners.

Capacity in the SAGE Pipeline (inc. the Beryl leg) and SAGE Terminal is managed on a divided rights basis creating competition within the system and enabling choice for shippers. All requests for capacity must be addressed to the SAGE Operator who will ensure the request is distributed to the correct owners.

The SAGE Operator provides technical responses to requests for service and provides common terms on behalf of all relevant owners. Commercial terms are available from individual owners.

value for investors

what we operate

The Scottish Area Gas Evacuation (SAGE) Terminal, SAGE pipeline and Beryl pipeline, together the SAGE System, are core to our strategy. Our objective is to maximise throughput of the SAGE System through safe and effective operations, extending infrastructure life, connecting new fields and delivering strong financial performance.

The SAGE System is an integrated gas transportation and processing system transporting gas from the Beryl pipeline and SAGE pipelines to the SAGE Terminal for processing and redelivery of natural gas into the National Transmission System and natural gas liquids into the Forties onshore pipeline system and the SEGAL system.

SAGE North Sea Limited appointed Wood plc as its operating partner for the SAGE system.
